Easy Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
Making the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together sugar and butter, until smotth.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Blend in flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
Baking the Cookies
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls.
- Arrange about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
